This scenic green area is located in central Boden right at the waterfront of lake Bodträsket. Here all outdoor activities, ranging from dog exhibitions over summer churches to military displays, have first priority.

Well visible in the area is the “Militärhjälmen” a huge military helmet covered with greenery. In 1987 the Garrison of Boden made this gift to the municipality as a symbol for the military defences' peace-keeping mission.
