Not only does Boden offer excellent bathing facilities such as the heated outdoor pool on Bodens camping ground and the adventure bath NordPoolen; there are also fine bathing places for those who prefer the feeling of sand between their toes when going for a swim.

Aldersjön
A beautifully located bathing lake and home of Bodens own beach. Here instead of grassy surfaces, you find lots of wonderful sand to spread out your picnic blankets and sunbathing towels! Furthermore there are bathing jetties for you to use, along with changing cubicles and toilets. During high season, on really hot days, you can also buy ice cream, sweets etc. here.

Directions Aldersjön:
Take Garnisonsgatan from Bodens centre towards Jokkmokk. At the roundabout stay left and turn left onto Hedenbronvägen. Drive over the bridge “Hedenbron” and then turn left in the direction of Avan, on the southern bank of the Lule river. When you see the sign Mockträsk, turn right and follow the road for approximately 1 kilometer.

Vitträsket
This lake also offers a beautiful bathing place right next to Sörbyn Camping and offers a lovely sandy beach as well as grassy surfaces for sunbathing. Here you can also find bathing jetties, changing cubicles and toilets. During high season it is also possible to buy ice cream and sweets.

The lake is situated in Sörbyn, ca. 36 km north of Boden.
