The Defence Museum (Försvarsmuseum) is Northern Sweden's most modern museum, with interactive exhibitions. The museum sets Sweden into a broader perspective - a journey through Swedish defence history from the end of the 19th century until today, through war and peace from different perspectives. There is also a cafe. The museum is located in the area of former regiment A8. Open all year round.

Follow Kungsgatan down towards the train station. At the crossing on the Kungsbron bridge, take to the right, which will get you onto road 97 towards Luleå. Follow this road straight ahead over the first intersection with a traffic light. At the second intersection with a traffic light, drive to the right. Follow Hermelinsgatan until it splits into two, and you will have the A8 right in front of you.
